This is an amazing piece, I love the affect you have created using the long exposure. I believe the light not only adds to the conceptual meaning of the piece but also helps create another visual focal point to draw the eye in and around the piece. It is actually the light that brings my eye into the piece, which is then able to move about through the contrast of the trees, down around to your figure, then back up to the light again - the light helps the composition flow better than had it not been there in my opinion.
ahh, now isn't this a kind of different shot. quite funny as well I like it and the idea. I really like the lighting in this, kind of adds a cool mood and really makes those colours stand out your pose is great - I love how your hands are out like that and you're crouching a little. I can see why you left the lights in, but I'm not too sure they go. personally, I think this would look better with them cropped out, but that's just me that said, a nice shot
...and then make all them alphabet spelling clerks write it down by hearing it only once
The fluorescent likes denotes a surreal ambiance, as if you were in the middle of a movie set. Eventhough I support ` devilicious 's idea of cropping the scene down to the jungle, I do see the hidden satiric implications behind the architectural elements coming thorugh at the very top of the composition. It's a witty as well as visualy humorous play with the concepts of a genuine jungle within an urban one... and the no-escape conclusion.
lol. this is quite funny actually, i would have taken it more as a humorous piece... a depiction of a loony lost in the jungle not knowing that the beacon of light is from a building right behind him.
either that or he's about to make a dash into the building and is now "on the lookout" for possible enemies.
lotsa fun stories in this one
Actually, I'd leave those lights on- looks interesting about this jungle, being an artificial one, and kudos to whoever the photographer was if this one was a long exposure- I had some trouble with my G2 at the aquarium, sucking some hard ass at taking short-exposure low-light photos. The amount of the light above mingles well with the darkness below.
A side note, is that those pants seem too big for you- as if they are about to fall off, thus you mooning those nice shrubberies. You are becoming really skinny- I want my chubby Bosnian back!
